Where do I even begin? After more than a year of waiting for my PR card from IRCC, and trying every day to contact them via phone, and not even connecting to a person, I contacted Doug Shipleys office. My husband had previously contacted them as I had taken IRCC 10 months to still not send me a work permit, within 3 days of contacting them I received confirmation of my work permit and permanent residence. They have been my saviours!After emailing Doug Shipleys office I received a response from Prabhat Batra who was eager to help me. Over the next few days he stayed in contact and gave me updates as things progressed. It turned out that the IRCC has sent out my PR card but to my old address even though I had changed the address online via the IRCC system prior to them sending it. I had previously faxed in a solemn declaration as I had not received my PR card and couldn't get any answers. Prabhat tried to see if he could get them to process my request faster but sadly was unable to, however, I had my PR card sent out to me 2 weeks later.They have been nothing but helpful from start to finish.Thank you again Prabhat for your outstanding work and assistance.Stephanie

I had been trying for a couple of months to resolve a problem with the Canada Revenue Agency and with Service Canada, without success. Dealing with one bureaucracy was difficult enough; dealing with two bureaucracies (that act as if they are on different planets from one another) was impossible. As a last resort, I contacted Mr. Shipley’s constituency office in Barrie, first by email and then by phone. I was told that they could indeed assist and within about 10 days, I was told that the matter had been resolved.I would like to particularly mention Mr. Batra and thank him for his efforts on my behalf, and especially for his very quick replies to all of my questions.
